Description
Jobber is a comprehensive recruiting application designed to connect companies with job seekers efficiently and intelligently. Built using Laravel for a powerful, scalable backend and Flutter for seamless cross-platform mobile and web interfaces, the app features two distinct portals: one for recruiters to post jobs, screen applicants, and manage pipelines, and another for job seekers to create detailed profiles, search open roles with advanced filters, and submit applications. The platform’s core innovation lies in its smart matching algorithm which analyzes candidate skills and recruiter requirements to present the most relevant matches, significantly speeding up the hiring process. Security, data privacy, and a seamless user experience across the entire application lifecycle were paramount design goals.

The project began with intensive Laravel Backend development to establish the Core User and Job Posting Data Models, including complex database relationships for tracking applications and interview stages. This was quickly followed by building the dual Flutter Interfaces—one for the Recruiter Dashboard (focused on pipeline management) and one for the Job Seeker Profile and Search Experience (focused on easy navigation and application). A critical development step involved integrating and refining the AI-Powered Matching Algorithm within Laravel to provide highly accurate job and candidate recommendations, requiring heavy backend logic. We then focused on implementing Secure Messaging and Notification Systems to facilitate real-time communication between both parties, ensuring timely updates. The final phase involved extensive security and function testing across the entire application flow—from a job posting being created to an offer being accepted—before a carefully planned Monday deployment to ensure our support team could handle any immediate post-launch issues.
