Carloue is a peer-to-peer car rental marketplace developed by Tech Fly, utilizing our trusted Flutter/Laravel stack to connect private car owners with individuals looking to rent vehicles. The application's core functionality is providing a secure and transparent platform for listing, searching, and booking privately owned cars. Car owners can easily manage their listings, availability calendar, and set their own pricing. Renters benefit from geo-location searches, detailed vehicle reviews, secure payment processing, and comprehensive insurance integration. The Laravel backend handles the complex multi-user roles (Owner and Renter), dynamic calendar management, identity verification, and secure financial transactions, while the Flutter app provides a clean, image-rich interface for browsing and booking.

The development kicked off with setting up the Laravel Backend to handle Complex Multi-User Role Management (Owner vs. Renter) and establishing the database for detailed Car Listings, including photos and specifications. We concurrently developed the Flutter interface, prioritizing the Car Listing Upload Workflow for owners and the Geo-Search and Filter Functionality for renters. A critical feature involved integrating a Secure Digital Contract and Identity Verification Process into the Laravel backend to ensure liability and trust. Following this, the Availability Calendar and Booking Logic was implemented to prevent double-booking across different owners. Finally, we conducted extensive UAT on the entire transaction flow, from initial booking request to payment and contract signing, before launching early in the work week to allow for immediate support and monitoring.
